Dino Omens

Dino Omens was only age 34 when he had his first surgery (McCash technique) for Dupuytren’s in 2004. He has since had multiple Xiaflex procedures and needle aponorectomies on both hands, and radiation therapy, both for Dupuytren’s and Ledderhose disease. Four years after radiation, at age 51, his digit extension is much better and reports his “hands are essentially flat.” Dino is well-known in the automotive industry, having been featured on shows like Chip Foose’s Overhaulin and most recently on Motortrend’s Geared Up, and has often questioned whether his profession contributed to the severity of his case. He is an active member of the Dupuytren’s Facebook community, where he gained hope and information that has helped him choose treatment paths. He and his hand therapist, Janice Rocker, became close as she helped him on his nearly 20-year journey of discovery, recovery and treatment. He was born and raised in Southern California, and recently relocated with his wife and 6-year-old son to Grand Rapids, MI, where he remains in close contact with Janice and his hand surgeon to this day.
