Cynthia Cooper, MFA, MA, OTR/L, CHT

Cynthia Cooper is a clinician, author, researcher, and educator. She has practiced hand therapy for 42 years and has published chapters in hand therapy and occupational therapy textbooks and journals. She is the editor of the first 2 editions of the hand therapy textbook Fundamentals of Hand Therapy: Clinical Reasoning and Treatment Guidelines for Common Diagnoses of the Upper Extremity. Ms. Cooper has presented numerous times at national and international meetings. She was the invited overseas guest speaker in Hong Kong in 2015 and she has done volunteer work in hand therapy in Peru, Bolivia and Africa as well as locally. She has won the Best Scientific Paper Award and the Best Poster Award at ASHT and last year she received the ASHT Paul Brand Award for humanitarianism and volunteer services.
