  • I attend the ASHT Annual Meeting to learn about clinical and research innovations in hand and upper extremity care and (re)connect with colleagues. It is also an opportunity for me to celebrate who we are and what we do as hand therapists.
    Brocha Stern, PhD, OTR, CHT
    Northwestern University
  • Attending the ASHT Annual Meeting is the single most important thing a hand therapist can do to become enriched in educational and networking opportunities. It is an immediate introduction or welcome back to the hand therapy community that lends to leadership opportunities, personal connections and lifelong learning. I can't imagine a more important year than 2021 to come together.
Nora Barrett, MS, OTR/L, CHT, WCC
    ASHT 2021 Annual Meeting Chair
  • The ASHT Annual Meeting provides a fun learning environment with a wide variety of topics! Plus, meeting other hand therapists is the best!
Danielle Sparks, DHS, MOT, OTR, CHT
    Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center
  • For me, the Annual Meeting brings together the resources I value most as a hand therapist. It brings together the people that perhaps you only see once a year, yet value your relationship, the high-level evidence and science, as well as the networking and sharing opportunities with the creative minds that make up our profession.
    Nancy Naughton, OTD, OTR/L, CHT
    Hand Surgery Associates, Scranton, PA
  • I am thrilled ASHT chose my hometown of St. Louis for the 2021 Annual Meeting, and I can't wait to welcome attendees to my community. The meeting's program truly captures this year's theme of equity, community and excellence, with high-impact and thought-provoking speakers who are leaders in hand surgery, therapy and contemporary healthcare practice.

  • After this very different year our world has walked through, it will be so good to be back in the community together at this first ever hybrid style meeting. I am glad we are able to make this valuable content accessible both to those able to gather in person and those joining virtually. I am excited as always for the quality presentations that will help me learn to strive.
    Rachel Pigott MPH, OTR/L, CHT
University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health
  • Attending the ASHT Annual Meeting gives me that breath of energy and passion to put back in my patients! I leave feeling inspired and excited for the field of hand therapy.

  • I get so excited when it comes to annual conference time. I find the annual conference as a way to avoid a feeling of stagnant in my profession. It is a great way to immerse myself with colleges and data to help to push me forward. Always surround yourself with those you push you forward so you are not left behind. The community and connections you can make with other therapist is amazing.
